We want to help you start developing skills needed to succeed with money now and long after college. The Center for Financial Wellness offers one-on-one meetings with peer guides providing information about:
- Developing a spending plan
- Setting financial goals
- The basics of banking including saving
- Student loan types and repayment options
- Credit cards for first-timers and establishing a healthy credit score

Schedule in MyUTK
Choose this scheduling option if you are a current undergraduate student. See below for steps to schedule through Vol Academic Connect.

Scheduling in MyUTK Through Vol Academic Connect
- Log in to MyUTK using your NETID and password.
- Under Academic Support, select Navigate.
- Then, select Schedule an Appointment.
- Using the drop down menu, select One Stop.
- Under services, select Financial Wellness.
- Select Location – in-person or virtual.
- Select an Appointment Time.
During Your Meeting
You and your peer guide will discuss your current financial situation, goals, and a realistic strategy to help you accomplish them. To help your peer guide best serve you, it can be helpful to bring with you specific information including but not limited to bank statements, a pay stub, or a credit report.
